Bastard Galore in the State of Tennessee: Desmond Hatchett, Father of 21 AND HE'S only 29 YEARS OF AGE!

File this one under "Working people's tax dollars at work". I actually feel sorry for the people of the State of Tennessee, because they have become the defacto parents for the 21 children created by one man and 11 women.

I can't say that I feel sorry for the mothers of the bastards because most of them admitted to knowing about the score of children this man had created. In the space of 2 years Desmond Hatchett fathered 8 children. He works minimum wage and probably only keeps a job to keep from being arrested and sentenced to jail. The state of TN is limited in its ability to force Hatchett to get a vasectomy or even a better paying job. Under current law, the state can only recoup 50% of his paycheck to split among the 11 mothers and the 21 children. Some mothers receive as little as 2.00 per sperm emission. and many have had more than one child with him, which really speaks to their mettle as the strong, intelligent, and purposeful women they are!

I know father's day has to be a complete hoot because I am sure that each mother uses her welfare check and food stamps to have a "Baby Daddy's Day" cookout to commemorate the virility of Mr. Hatchett. Even worse is the fact the the sorry ass Hatchett believes that he's a good father because he know all of the names of his children, their birth dates, and apparently when their mother are ovulating. Asked whether he has decided to have more children, he responded, "It just happened". So while many of you will comment about how society has made him and the women the way they are, that the children are innocent, and that I shouldn't be judging him or them, please take this time receive from me, a heartfelt middle finger.

The state of TN better keep a close watch on these children as they grow and mature into adult liabilities that the state will soon have to care for as prisoners, welfare recipients, and other degenerates. I cannot feel sorry for or even defend the women because they knew that this man was a jackass. They still chose to ride his dick, and even worse chose to incubate his seed. The story is disgusting in every way. The only victim in this sad story is the state of TN. Because of the critical failure of 12 people to make good choices, 21 people will end up having to be raised by the state and you KNOW how great the state is at caring for children... especially black ones!

Young, dumb, and OBVIOUSLY full of cum. He's worth more dead than he is alive. At least if he were dead, the state could leverage funds against the SSI survivor checks the kids would get until they were 18. Some sociolgist needs to follow the paths of these various bastard children to determine how they will end up... although I already have a pretty good idea.

21, in this case is NOT a winning number.

Here's to the powerful sperm of Desmond Hatchett!

Day-Twat, MI!! HOME of the CHITLIN' EATING NEGRO!!!

Okay, so I just HAD to post this picture of Detroit City Councilmember and Mrs. Chitlin' Eatin' Negro Senior 2008, Barbabra Rose-Collins. File this one under the heading WTF were you thinking? Who shows up to a COUNCIL MEETING TO CONDUCT CITY BUSINESS looking like a prom queen reject?

I mean, to be fair it WAS her birthday and I'm all for black queens being celebrated, but dayum! Why the Tiara? Why the butter yellow, sateen dress? Couldn't she have gotten the same attention in a nice St. John 2 piece, with Chanel slingbacks, and a COGIC Easter hat??

Motor City residents you have two choices: FLEE or get rid of the "chitlin' eatin" negroes who run your city. You all give me a great cackle EVERYTIME I need one!

(Laughing Hysterically)

When black men fail their children - Part 2, NO CHARGES FILED AGAINST OFFICERS!!!

Happy Friday ONLY because it's Friday and no other reason related to this post.

I previously posted about Charles Rawlings, a pillar of righteousness in the Northeastern DC community, who father 16 children - that he HASN'T been able to take care of! The reason for the post was in response to Mr. Rawlings demand for 100 million dollars in a lawsuit for the killing of his 14 year old son Deonte Rawlings. Wait I misspelled it... It's D - e -apostrophe - Capital O-nte with an accent at the end for creative flair. Now, I'm not going to make light of this tragic situation anymore than I already have. A 14 year old boy was killed by a DC police officer because he had two stupid folks for parents.

I am extremely disappointed that the officers involved were cleared of all charges on yesterday by the US Attorney's office. My chagrin with these types of cases is that the officers are charged, placed on administrative leave with pay, and are typically cleared. They are never chastised, seldom express regret, and are often viewed as heroes by people who enjoy seeing unarmed black and brown men killed. Deadly force is the normal SOP for any incident with black men ... at least it appears that way. How can ANY sane person believe that the police are tasked with protecting and serving when it is so clear that they are dually tasked with meting out deadly "justice"?

Mayor Fenty for his part, has implicitly claimed culpability by paying for the boy's funeral and releasing the names of the officer's involved before having all of the facts in this case. What's even worse is even AFTER the FBI, US Atty's Office, and DC conducted separate investigations the results are the same. Witnesses ID'd the boy with a gun, shot recording technology recorded shots coming from a gun used by the boy, the boy stole a bike, they boy was on his way to becoming a criminal like his older siblings. It's horrible, but true. Did he deserve to die though? DC has no "self-defense" law, but the officers were able to employ one as their defense to the Federal charges. Did a 14 year old deserve to die? His parents were and are jail birds, drug abusers, and some of the most trifling people you'd ever meet. Did DeOnte deserve to die?

NO! Hell NO!!! He did not. I don't care how wretched this little boy was, unless he himself killed someone (and even then I'd have to weigh everything carefully), he did not deserve to die.

The officers have yet to express ANY regret and that bothers me. Black men are NOT safe if law enforcement has the right to use deadly and excessive force not matter what the cause.

To the family of DeOnte, I WON'T reverse my position from before because it was THE TRUTH; YOU BEAR SOME OF THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR HOW THIS BOY ENDED UP.

However, he did not deserve to die and for your your loss, you have my sympathy.

It's OFFICIAL!!! I am gonna run out and get someone pregnant!!! NOT!!! 19 Year-old BREEDERS get into brawl over WHICH GANG 4 YEAR-OLD SHOULD CLAIM!!

I would love to have a child or children for the right reasons though. For me, the right reasons would be to ensure the survival of blck folks with common sense and to extend my lineage. However, even those reasons would be self-serving and as a result I have elected to forego fathering any children. I may adopt or become a foster parent later, but for now I'm going to keep my seed to myself.

Most of you know that for the past few days I have been on a rant about how heinous some black parents can be. In fact the most popular post on my blog (I am gaguing this based on the number of comments) Was about how black men have FAILED their children. I know I have the skills to be a good parent, but I also realize that being a father is a monumental commitment. My life would no longer be my own and anything I did would have to positively affect the life of my child.

Today's post is another episode in the life and times of children who have RETARDS for parents. Where are birth control pills, condoms, and abortion when they are definitely needed? In the mile high city, Westside Story meets COLORS meets Boyz N Da Hood and it all goes terribly wrong from there. Two WINNERS in Denver Colorado had a knock-down, dragged-out, knuckle- thumping, let-me-take-out-my-vaseline, fight over what GANG or SET their 4 year old should claim. Should I say more? Do I really need to? This is why TEENAGERS SHOULD NOT HAVE CHILDREN. I am so completely disgusted with how people approach parenthood with such a cavalier attitude.

So to these 2 winners, I present the 2nd "You Need to be Slapped Unconscious Award" and I can only hope that jail time and a possible termination of parental rights is in the near future.

Add ANOTHER Opportunistic BASTARD to the LIST!!! NORMAN PENN, Jr. FATHER OF THE MILLENIUM!!!!

*SIGH* What would you call a man who cared so little about his daughter's well being that he allowed her to be murdered by her mother, refused to legitimize her by giving her his last name, rarely, paid child support, and now that his daughter is dead wants 25 million dollars from the city of Washington, DC?

I'd call him a sick, morbid, bastard who is the SORRIEST excuse for a man (out of the previuos two I profiled on Monday night). Yes, Mr. Penn has decided that the city owes him 25 million for being an extraordinary absentee father.

The basis for his lawsuit (I am seething with anger) in his own words communicated in "legalease" by his attorney, states that is daughters death, "denied (him) the financial benefits, gifts and other contributions." He goes on further to talk about how DC was derelict in its duty to safeguard Brittany since she was an endangered child. Ummm... how about you be a PARENT, Norman? I realize that the heterosexual copulation experience, from intercourse to ejaculation can occur in as little as 30 seconds. Do you think Norman could have put at LEAST that much time into being a father to his daughter?

You all go ahead and make as many excuses for this asshole as you'd like. He's a SORRY BASTARD and his actions (or lack thereof) prove it.

When Black men Fail Their Children: A tale of 2 Chitlin Eatin' Negroes who had way too much time on their idle hands... and genitals

Today I had the extreme displeasure of having to go through the painstaking task of ordering dinner from a take-out place because I was too lazy to cook. Now grant it, this post isn't going to be about my underwhelming dining experience, but rather served as the boiling point for the rage I felt after watching Nancy Grace and then reading the Washington Post.

I'll start with Father of the Year Numero Uno, Mr. Charles Rawlings of Northeast Washington, DC! Now get this, Super Dad is the father of 16, yes, S I X T E E N children. None, of which have benefitted from his vast knowledge and skills as the patriarch of such a distinguished klan of bastards. Turns out that all of his children are fucked-up because he hasn't had the time to actually parent them. Perhaps it was because he was too busy ejaculating in someone's vagina. Now to his credit, Mr. Rawlings did have the good sense to purchase a home to house his younger progeny, but it didn't matter. I believe that it wasn't the environment that screwed his kids up; he had a guiding hand in that. Unfortunately, he will now have to live with the fact that his literal interpretation of the Book of Genesis cost his 14 year old son, DeOnte his life.

DeOnte was shot and killed by an off-duty DC police officer over a mini-bike that was stolen fron said officer's home. The shooting is currently under investigation and the officers are on paid administrative leave. Charlie and Co. filed a 100 million dollar lawsuit and have been milking this sad case to absolve himself and Deonte's mother fron ANY responsibilty for what has happened to their son. Add the usual community activists protests, the empty rhetoric about police declaring open season on black men, throw in a couple of "No Justice, No Peace" and VOILA! You have yet ANOTHER conspiracy theory plot!

Now don't get me WRONG, the boy didn't deserve to die, but was his flawed life and juvenile record worth 100 million dollars? The most outrageous part of the lawsuit is that the family believes that there is a concerted effort by the police to harass the entire Rawlings (insert other names of bastard children here) family. At what point this harassment started remains unclear. Many of the family members were well acquainted with local law enforcement well before DeOnte's tragic death, Mom and Dad included. As a matter of fact, Mommie Dearest just got out of an extended jail stay after charges for felony assault against her boyfriend were dropped. She was then acquitted of other charges after the boyfriend stood by his woman after she stabbed the shit out of him.

Charlie is a winner as well. When he isn't going to jail for Domestic Violence disputes, you can find him resisting arrest and threatening to kill police! Yes, this is a lifestyle full of ambience and splendor. I can see how difficult it would be to understand how these two stellar, stand-up individuals could produce such evil offspring. The ONLY plausible answer for WHY this family is so busted MUST be external factors. There is no way Charlie had any control of all of these randomn sperm emmissions that resulted in at least 16 fertilizations with various women. After the death of his 14 year old, Charlie realizes that he needs HELP. What a pity; if only he had this epiphany after child number one, he might have used a condom at least 15 times and DeOnte along with other members of the Rawlings et. al brood might not have been born.

NBA STAR + 8 STUPID WOMEN + BANRUPTCY PROTECTION = 10 BASTARD CHILDREN WITH NO SUPPORT!

I am left to wonder how man STDs have been passed between these athletes and the women who allow them to bang them raw. Perhaps this little morsel isn't newsworthy enough to be on Nancy Grace, but again it's Nancy Grace! She will whine about anything, but lately she's been covering stories about men victimizing women. Today's story was about former NBA Star Jason Caffey. Here's his story:

Child support, bankruptcy trail former NBA player Caffey
Sunday, October 21, 2007
By BRENDAN KIRBY Staff Reporter

Four years and tens of millions of dollars after his NBA career ended,
Mobile native Jason Caffey is in bankruptcy court seeking protection from
creditors, who include seven women with whom he has had eight children.
Caffey's child-support problems landed him in jail in Tuscaloosa earlier
this year and drew an arrest warrant in Georgia.
"The only reason I filed
bankruptcy was to get these arrest warrants off me," he said in an interview
last week. Under the law, creditors -- including women seeking back child
support -- must halt all collection efforts during the bankruptcy.
"The guy
has made more money than he has sense," said Clarence Roby, a lawyer for Nikki
Brown, a Louisiana woman seeking child support payments on behalf of two
children. "He has not paid anything since May of 2005. ... He's the epitome of a
deadbeat dad."
Jim Altman, a lawyer who represents Caffey in a Georgia
child-support case, said Caffey's $4,250-per-month obligation is far outdated.
"As an NBA basketball star, he was making millions of dollars," Altman said. "It
kind of goes to show how the system fails people like Jason."
Caffey, 34,
was a standout power forward and center at Davidson High School who went on to
the University of Alabama and the Chicago Bulls. He later signed a $35 million
contract with the Golden State Warriors before finishing his career with the
Milwaukee Bucks.
Records at U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Mobile claim more than
$1.9 million in debts against nearly $1.15 million in assets.
The records
show Caffey earns $11,500 a month from two sources: JAC Enterprises, an endeavor
that invests in real estate; and Allstars Developmental Academy, a day care
center on Springhill Avenue. Caffey said three more such day cares are set to
open in Mobile on Tuesday.
He also owns 1608 Sports Bar and Grill on St.
Stephens Road.
More than half of Caffey's reported income -- $7,000 -- goes
to alimony and child support. "Who wouldn't have trouble with that after
retiring five years ago?" Caffey said.
Caffey's assets include a $175,000
home on Fearnway Drive in Mobile, a $14,000 1967 Buick Wildcat, a $34,000 2006
Dodge Charger, two NBA championship rings he won as a member of Michael Jordan's
Bulls and nearly $4,600 in household goods.
His ex-wife, Bebe, sued Caffey
for divorce last year and got their $800,000 home in Roswell, Ga. Several other
women have also sued Caffey for child support.
Lawyers for some of the women
said they do not oppose Caffey's bankruptcy filing, since the law prohibits
debtors from escaping child-support obligations.
"In fact, that would be
better, because he would have more cash available for child support," said Randy
Kessler, who represents Lorunda Brown of Lawrenceville, Ga.
Caffey's
bankruptcy documents list his obligations to Brown at $70,000, although a
document filed by Brown pegs the amount, including interest on the arrears and
attorneys' fees, at $112,736. "Since February 2007, he's paid not a penny,"
Kessler said.
A judge in Fulton County, Ga., held Caffey in contempt last
month for failure to pay child support and ordered him arrested. Altman has
asked the judge to set that arrest order aside until the bankruptcy is resolved.
Altman said in an interview last week that he would try to work out a settlement
in the Brown child-support case. "No one needs $5,000 a month in child support,"
Altman said. Kessler said Brown understands that Caffey's income has declined
since his NBA career ended. "She's always been willing to discuss reducing it,
but he has never discussed it," Kessler said. He added, "We wouldn't be a
stickler for $4,250 a month."
Roby, meanwhile, alluded to the giant contract
that Caffey signed with Golden State when he left the Bulls after the 1997-98
season. "What happened to the $35 million?" Roby asked. Caffey said the $35
million figure is misleading. After taxes, he said, the amount was about $17
million, and he missed out on $12 million of that when his NBA career ended with
three years left on his contract.
He said his ex-wife got half of his money
in the divorce. Caffey said he has invested about $2.5 million on his business
ventures in Mobile, creating jobs for about 65 people.
He said he believes
his children will be better off in the long run if he can build the businesses.
"It's generational wealth now," he said.
Nikki Brown acknowledged that
Caffey voluntarily set up $125,000 trust funds for each of their two children
and allowed her to tap into them when she struggled after Hurricane Katrina.
"One thing I can say financially is when Jason had money, he always paid me,"
she said. "He did take care of us when he was in the league."
Said Nicole
Fuller, an Illinois woman to whom Caffey owes $80,000 in child support: "Jason
isn't a bad person. He's a good father."

Good father? System failed him? He's broke? What the hell was he thinking when he put his uncovered penis inside of 8 different women 10 times to fill them up? Just because he was making millions of dollars a year DOESN'T give him the right to screw everything moving. And to the women who decided to "rent their wombs" to him and be human incubators for his seed, has anyone gotten STD/HIV tests lately?

Jason story eclipses Charlie's in one respect, Jason had money to take care of his bastards; Charlie did not and DOES NOT.

So what say you blogosphere? Is there anyone out there brave enough to defend your right to procreate children with multiple partners that you take a half-assed approach to being a father/mother to them?

Any deadbeat dads/moms out there who care to explain WHY you had more children than your financial resources can support?

Any women who have children fathered by a man who has more children with several different other women that he isn't able to care for wish to talk about your lapses in judgement?

What F@ckery is this? AL SHARPTON TO SPEAK ON BEHALF OF DUNBAR VILLAGE RAPE SUSPECTS!!!

I am a reasonable and sensible man. I consider myself pretty patient and sometimes very forgiving. However, when I reach my limit things don't stay so pretty. You see I use to have a pretty short fuse that used to get me into TONS of trouble. I learned to control that fuse for the most part because explosive anger takes away from one's credibility and demonstrates to outsiders that I can't control myself.

Today is one of those days where my anger will be evident in this blog post. I hope Al Shaprton has a heart attack and a stroke all at the same time. He is a useless, piece-of-shit, civil rights era reject, and isn't worth the flesh his sorry ass is printed on! Today, yes TODAY that fat bastard will be in West Palm Beach, Florida to advocate for the RAPISTS involved in the Dunbar Village Rape Case. To be fair, he'll also be in West Palm Beach filing a lawsuit to prevent the State of Florida from holding their Democratic Primary.

What disgusts me most about Al Sharpton and his "chitlin eating ilk" is their hypocrisy. After my counter protest of Sharpton and his Hate Crimes March in Washington, DC, I had been contacted by a resident of Dunbar Village, Ms. Citoya Greenwood. Ms. Greenwood thanked me for bringing more attention to DV and also wanted some assistance in planning a community town hall meeting to address the needs of the residents of Dunbar Village.

For those who are still unaware, DV is a hell hole on earth. It is the place where 12 black male teenagers forcibly entered the apartment of a 35 year old Single mother and her 12 year old son. It is the place where these junior sociopaths raped, tortured, and sodomized this woman for three hours. It is the place where her son was beaten, tortured, and mutilated and forced to have sex with his mother at gun point by these 12 little bastards. For months, not a single black "leader" or social justice group did anything to assist the victim and her son. It was not until bloggers like Symphony at Essential Presence, Gina at Whataboutourdaughters?, and Professor Tracey at Aunt Jemimas Revenge started blogging about this tragedy that MSM began talking about it. The rape occured on June 18, 2007. Where were you when it happened? Did you hear about it?

Fast forward to November 2007. I learn that the Pompadoured, Do-Nothing, Hypocrite himself, Al Sharpton would be in DC chiding the government for it less than stellar record on prosecuting hate crimes. This would set the stage for a confrontation that would ask him and his supporters, "Why the hell are you STILL silent?" There would be 5 of us and countless stories in several national newspapers. You would have thought that the publicity surrounding the ineptness of our black leaders would have shamed them into doing something to actually HELP the residents of Dunbar, but no. They greeted our protests with the usual response, "I didn't know" or " Well no one asked me" as if these opportunists EVER need an invitation to be media whores. Did the Jena 6 or Genarlow have to ASK anyone to get involved? Still, Al in fact was a liar. He had been invited to Dunbar on several occasions and for every invite he spurned or simply ignored the request.

It was not until Ms. Greenwood had contacted him directly, while he was in West Palm Beach for a completely separate event, that he and his NAN reps decided to tour the housing project. He had promised to be a part of the community Town Hall meeting (its dates were changed multiple times to accommodate HIS schedule) and he had even promised to spend the night in Dunbar Village just to get a feel for what the residents had been dealing with for years. He failed to show for the meeting and canceled 1 hour BEFORE he was supposed to show up citing inclement weather and travel conditions. No flights from NY to FL had been canceled. He simply failed to show. Ms Greenwood spent two months organizing and planning this meeting. She contacted elected officials, community groups, legal aid groups, and HUD officials. She single handedly brought them all together and Rev. Al PROMISED to be there. After all, the meeting was to convene on a Tuesday evening because that was the only time HE would be free.

He failed to show and Ms. Greenwood was forced to make this announcement to her community. She is now being harassed by other residents, Laurel Robinson, HUD Director for West Palm Beach, and has become a target because she chose to be a voice for the marginalized.

Reverend Al COULD NOT show up for Citoya, the rape victim, or the residents of Dunbar Village, but he can show up to ADVOCATE for RAPISTS! What kind of FUCKERY is that?!?!?!

The message is clear people. Negroes like Al want us to believe that Black people LOVE criminals. If we didn't, why are NATIONAL organizations so quick to run to the defense of violent black offenders and rapists? Why are black female victims ignored in MSM, while black male perps get TONS of media coverage followed by a rationalization spin doctoring that excuses their crimes?

I posted a piece that Professor Tracey wrote last Saturday about the Soul on Ice Effect and how it relates to the dehumanization of black women and children. READ IT!

I am drawing another line in the sand TODAY.

The Soul on Ice Effect - Why the Lives of Black Women and Children don't Matter by Professor Tracey

Former Black Panther Eldridge Cleaver published the world famous manifesto Soul On Ice in 1968, many consider this work a classic political text. I do not. While I acknowledge the power in Cleaver's words, the text is also infamous for Cleaver's admission of being a rapist. Cleaver attempts to justify his rapes of white women as a strike back at the white man and a way to recover his black manhood, as he states about his rapes ["an insurrectionary act. It delighted me that I was defying and trampling upon the white man's law ... defiling his women."]

As frightening and problematic as that explanation is, Cleaver admits to "practicing on black girls in the ghetto" first. Cleaver never served a day in prison for his assaults on black women, in fact he would become a celebrated black leader during the Black Power movement, a voice of the people, black people. I have always been troubled by this glaring double standard image of Cleaver and the Black Power movement. Forty years later, black women as rape victims, murder victims are considered even less valuable than they were in 1968. We are expendable. And it is not just because white people have devalued the lives of black women, we have, the black community. We make excuses for black men who hurt and kill, for black men who hurt and kill their own people.

On my blog, I have covered the gang-rape at Dunbar Village in West Palm Beach, the slaying of an entire deputy sheriff's family by her own son in Atlanta, the murder of Nailah Franklin in Chicago, the senseless murders of black women and children on Hovey Street in Indianapolis and on Lester Street in Memphis. All these cases have received more detailed attention on black-owned blogs than on the mainstream media. Our so-called black leadership, the Al Sharptons, the Jesse Jacksons, the Tavis Smileys, the Cornell Wests, including black presidential candidate Barack Obama have been woefully silent and hopelessly inadequate at making any of these cases have any sense of importance in terms of getting a resolution or some sense of justice. The overall black community has been outraged and saddened at these cases, but not enough to last more than a few days, no lasting impression. Once the bodies get buried, our collective interest wanes. We just seem to wait for the next case.

All these cases represent one black woman gang-raped, her black son beaten and terrorized, six black women and six black children murdered. I do not discount the value of the 2 black men that were murdered as well, but a running total of 12 to 2 in less than a year is shocking. When one considers that the suspects in all these cases are black men, one must feel a deep sense of unsettling despair about these cases. Where is the collective black outrage? Black folks mobilized and marched with passion for the quite frankly, extremely unworthy Jena 6 group, but have been virtually dead silent about the black women and children that have been battered, raped, and murdered, then discarded like paper cups when the picnic is finished.

Recently, the two high profile murders of a Auburn University student, Lauren Burk and a UNC Chapel Hill student, Eve Carson received the lion's share of media attention as is the habit when young and privileged white women are murdered, I was reminded again of the scant attention that black women regardless of age, social or economic background that are missing or murdered ever receive. When confronted with the fact that the alleged murderers of these women are black men, I was reminded of Eldridge Cleaver. I wondered if these same black men that murdered white women so callously and senselessly, what were they doing in the black communities where they came from? How many of their own people had they victimized before they moved on to harming people that would attract the attention to mobilize the police to stop them? How much "practice" had they had in our community before they moved on to white communities?

White people will make no excuses in these cases. They will accept nothing less than the highest level of prosecution under the law. Not just because the murderer was black, they demand the same when the murderer is white, they will demand justice because one of their own has been senselessly murdered, for no good reason at all. Where are the Megan's Law and the Polly Klass' laws for black children? Jerry Lee Lewis career was destroyed when he married his 13 year old cousin, but black folks celebrate R. Kelly for his sexual relationships with underage girls. Why does this man still have a career? Do you actually think white people would have waited this long for such a clear case of pornography, underage sex and statutory rape to be prosecuted if R. Kelly was white or his victim was?

Black people should be outraged that black murderers are allowed to "practice" in our neighborhoods first, before they move on. Black people should be outraged that convicted murderer Jessie Dotson was released from prison, only to commit multiple murders of his own family members just two months after his release.

Yet, we won't be, we will make excuses. We will talk about what these black men didn't have and how they didn't get what they needed. We will blame white people, we will blame the prison system, the educational system, we will blame television, music, and movies, we will even blame the victims themselves, but we will most certainly refuse to hold the murderers 100% accountable. We will refuse to call for justice and demand that these predators be locked up and the key to their freedom forever destroyed. And that makes absolutely no sense at all.

It doesn't matter if black men feel trapped by their personal circumstances and the only people available to hurt and destroy are black women and children, you don't have the right to murder people. It doesn't matter how dire your life, no matter how much you are struggling, you have no right to murder people. It doesn't matter if you suffered racism or any kind of discrimination, you have no right to murder people. No matter how hungry you get, no matter how desperate you get, you have no right to take someone's life. That is what is supposed to separate us, human beings from wild animals.

We really need to stop wondering why black women and children that go missing or turn up murdered get scant attention in the white-owned mainstream media, we, us, black people have made it a standard practice in our own communities. The black community repeatedly fails to openly and honestly discuss and confront domestic violence, rape, incest, or sexual abuse in our own communities, but we expect white people to care about black victims of these types of crimes when we do not.

The black community continuously asks and expects black women to hold black families together in the most trying and difficult circumstances without the assistance of the majority of black men and then have the nerve to ask black women to be the most forgiving and understanding victims in the universe when the perpetrators are black men. We are always expected to blindly support black men no matter what they do to us, no matter how they fail us, and never ask any questions, but do black women receive the same kind of unconditional support and protection? I think not, the Soul On Ice Effect has become standard practice in the black community.

Updates!!!

I see the week-in-review format has been working rather well on other blogs because it allows authors to string together completely unrelated stories in one post. Having been at a loss for words lately (totally ironic since I've been commenting on so many other blogs), I present to my readers, BLKSeaGoat's Weekly Round-Up!!! I'll try to post the good, bad, ugly, and WTF?, but not in necessarily in that order. I haven't come up with a clever name for my weekly recap and I am open to suggestions.

The Good Blogs

I have really been inspired by a number of bloggers who keep me wearing my thinking cap because of how awesome their writing skills are. If you good folks in the blogosphere haven't been to their sites already, you MUST visit Aunt Jemima's Revenge by Professor Tracey, Black Women Vote by SheCodes, and for inspiration and spiritual enlightenment, Character Corner, by AttorneyMom. I have been learning so much about so many things and I can credit reading these blogs for that. My writing skills are above average at best, but for some great thinking coupled with an exceptional use of language and mastery of grammar and mechanics, check them out PRONTO! Of course I am and will always be a fan of Whataboutourdaughters? and I thank Gina along with her readership for always being on alert and posting "news that I can use". I've also started reading some other authors, Torrance Stephens, Jasmyne Cannick, and Average Bro and I'll be getting around to all of you I see on a regular basis in the comments sections of the various blogs I enjoy.

New GIG!!

This week has been an interesting one for me. As I shared with SheCodes earlier this month, I will be transitioning into a new position with a new agency as I have been ready to move on for some time. What was so great about this new job is that my hiring manager CALLED me and basically made me an offer before the position was even available. I felt flattered and a little cocky (I have to be honest) because I was the FIRST person who came to her mind as this opening came in her department. She strongly encouraged me to submit my resume and vitae, provided me with some plausible arguments as to why I was her first choice, and recommended me with high expectations to her Executive Director. It was all so surreal that I still can't believe that things unfolded they that they did. I am glad though; I GOTS DA SKILLZ 2 PAY DA BILLZ... Okay, I know that wasn't even funny, but I am so excited!

My only regret is that I will miss the direct service aspect of my current position. However with my new job I'll be able to affect change on an even broader level; to me, my societal impact will be much more tangible than it was before.

Election updates

I am a Barack Obama supporter NOT a stan. I have rational reasons for supporting my candidate of choice as well as reasons for NOT supporting his opponent. While Sen. Clinton bested my candidate in Ohio, Texas, and R.I., he still leads in the delegate count. I have signed up to go volunteer in PA, the last great prize for the Democratic nominee unless FL and MI re-vote. I am still confident that Senator Obama can clinch this nomination and become president, but he really needs to start getting into Hillary's treasure trough of opposition research. Roland Martin stated it as plainly as possible: "make Hillary DEFINE her 35 years of experience." Future Mr. President, you have to do this if you expect HOPE for CHANGE to carry you to the Oval Office.

Hot Messes

As usual, Whataboutourdaughters? scoops a story that I would have otherwise ignored unless it was posted on their website. It seems that American Pop Culture's obsession with celebrity is so powerful that grown women will bear their naked asses on camera for the world to see, ONLY to get a date with an ugly ass mud duck inferior rapper. The contest, sponsored by Plies was called the "Bust it Baby" contest, after one of his songs about a woman he admires for her sexual prowess and penchant for casual sex. The video is NSFW and is incredibly disgusting. If watching women debase themselves in every way causes you to vomit uncontrollably, you may not want to view this video. I was so repulsed by it I created a PowerPoint response and posted it on YouTube.

Blackface Minstrel or Flattering Admirer?

Jasmyne Cannick has a bone to pick with infamous drag performer, Shirley Q. Liquor. For those of you who are unaware, SQL is a character of Charles Knipp, an obese, gay white man who performs his character in blackface. Shirley Q. Liquor is a malt-liquor chugging, promiscuous, multiple-baby-daddy-having, under-educated, poor, welfare check receiving, black woman with 19 children. Her spawn are named after food products, liquor beverages, and venereal diseases. SQL hails from the South and is the self-proclaimed "Queen of Dixie". Jasmyne has launched a campaign against SQL and Knipp in an effort to get Knipp's appearances canceled at various gay pride events and conventions. You can read more about the protest and campaign here.

Now, I have no problem with Jasmyne's position about SQL, but she actually JUSTIFIES why it's okay for black male drag performers to mar the image of black women, but scowls at the same performances being done by a white man. One cannot have it both ways. You can be upset at the media portrayal of black women regardless of the race of the person engaged in the stereotypical depictions. I signed to petition as a show of support, but I remain a bit ambivalent about Jasmyne's motivation for going ape shit on SQL. I wonder what the National Black Justice Coalition has to say about SQL? I wonder why White Gay America (there are many gay Americas) is so missive about SQL's brand of humor, but gets outraged when straight comedians use terms that are offensive to homosexuals?

R.I.P - 17 year old Simmie Williams was ambushed and gunned down for what many believe was his transgender identity. Feministe published a really great post on this tragic event .

Posting on the Regular (I promise)

I am going to start taking my blog more seriously. I know, I know, I've said that before, but I'll be freeing up my work schedule soon for some much needed blog time. I have TONS of things to write about and I'll be getting of my lazy behind to actually do more.

COGIC Bishop GUILTY OF CHILD MOLESTATION

Atlanta - Rapists abound in COGIC!!! This story is so disgusting and this man's wife needs her wig readjusted. I have a sincere hatred for child molesters and I hope the good Bishop gets his ass raped WITHOUT VASELINE during his long prison sentence. Once again, COGIC drops the ball when it comes to protecting its sheep. This story was lifted from the AJC.com website.

Pastor convicted of molesting foster child

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Published on: 02/24/08

A Decatur pastor faces at least 25 years in prison after being convicted of aggravated sexual battery and child molestation of his 15-year-old foster child, authorities said.

DeKalb County prosecutors contend Bishop Frederick Kelley, who headed Greater New Macedonia Church of God in Christ, had a history of child molestation and rape involving family members going back 35 years.

Kelley has vehemently proclaimed his innocence.

He was in the DeKalb jail Sunday awaiting a sentencing date after a jury found him guilty Friday of two counts of sexual battery and four counts of child molestation.

The minimum sentence is 25 years. The jury acquitted him of rape.

Kelley was arrested in January 2007 on charges of rape and molestation involving a 15-year-old foster girl in his house.

The pastor proclaimed his innocence in a TV news broadcast.

The newscast prompted three of his relatives to tell police that he molested or raped them years before, said Peter Boehm, the DeKalb prosecutor who handled the case.

"They had thought he stopped — or 'hoped,' I guess, is the better way to say it," Boehm said.

Attempts to reach the Kelley family for comment were unsuccessful Sunday.

Boehm introduced four other child molestation cases, involving Kelley's family members and another foster child, during the eight-day trial in Superior Court that ended Friday.

The first case involved a family member who was 12 years old when the incident allegedly occurred in 1972, Boehm said.

The woman testified at the trial that she awoke one night and found Kelley on top of her. She shoved him off, and Kelley "pretended to be sleepwalking," Boehm said.

Another family member testified that the pastor impregnated her in 1979, when she was 15.

DeKalb prosecutor Boehm alleges that in 1993, Kelley molested the daughter of the first victim.

Kelley eventually targeted foster children he and his wife supported, Boehm said.

Besides the 15-year-old who filed the charges for which Kelley was prosecuted, another foster daughter, age 14, testified the defendant inappropriately touched her when he came into her bedroom one night in 2006 but claimed to be "praying over her."

Kelley's wife testified that her husband was guilty only of an adulterous affair with the girl who became pregnant in 1979.

The Kelleys raised the baby he fathered as their own child, Boehm said.

That affair was the only sexual misconduct Kelley and his wife acknowledged, Boehm said.

"They denied all the others," he said.

National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day is February 7, 2008... KNOW YOUR STATUS!

All,

Just a reminder that February 7, 2008 is National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. I am posting this on today to give everyone a week or so to discover what activities are going on in your local area. Please visit www.blackaidsday.org for more information.

Since African Americans are disproportionately affected by the devastation of HIV/AIDS, please KNOW YOUR STATUS. GET TESTED. USE CONDOMS.

I have worked in this field for approximately 10 years now, first as a scientist and now as a social worker. Please don't sacrifice your health to fear and ignorance. Even if you test positive for HIV your life isn't over; there are resources available to you, your loved ones, etc. to help you live a full and happy life.

HIV/AIDS does not discriminate on a basis. Even if you have unprotected sex just once, you have put yourself at risk for contracting the virus. Please visit www.thebody.org and www.blackaidsinstitute.org for more info on how to prevent HIV transmission.

Wear RED... 10/31 the last day of Domestic Violence Awareness Month! This is dedicated to WOMEN.

Today is October 31, 2007. October, for many people who aren't aware, is Domestic Violence Awareness month. To read more about the commemoration please visit WAOD here. I am against domestic violence against any person regardless of their gender. However, since this month specifically addresses violence against women, I will observe this new custom. I will add another layer of specificity though; the focus of this posting will be black women. In the memory of black women who have remained silent while being victimized by, died from, survived domestic violence this poem by Laini Mataka of Washington, DC is for you.

T H E S T R O N G B L A C K W O M A N IS D E A D!

The strong black woman is dead
The strong black woman is dead...on August 15, 1999 at 11:15 p.m. while struggling with the reality of being a human instead of a myth, the strong black woman passed away.

Medical sources say she died of natural causes, but those who knew her know she died from being silent when she should have been screaming, smiling when she should have been raging, from being sick and not wanting anyone to know because her pain might inconvenience them.

She died from an overdose of other people clinging to her when she didn't have enough energy for herself. She died from loving men who didn't love themselves, and only offer her a crippled reflection. She died from raising children alone and for not being able to do a complete job. She died from the lies her grandmother told her mother, and her mother told her about life, men and racism.

She died from being sexually abused as a child and having to take that truth everywhere she went, everyday of her life, exchanging the humiliation for guilt and back again.

She died from being battered by someone who claimed to love her. And she allowed the battering to go on, to show she loved him too.

She died from asphyxiation, coughing up blood from secrets she kept trying to burn away instead of allowing herself the kind of nervous breakdown she was entitled to, but only white girls could afford.

She died from being responsible, because she was the last rung on the ladder and there was no one under her she could dump on. The strong black woman is dead.

She died from the multiple births of her children she never really wanted, but was forced to have by the strangling morality of those around her. She died from being a mother at 15, a grandmother at 30 and an ancestor at 45.

She died from being dragged down and sat upon by un-evolved women posing as sisters. She died from pretending the life she was living was a Kodak moment instead of a 20th century, post slavery nightmare!

She died from tolerating Mr. pitiful just to have a man around the house. She died from lack of orgasms because she never learned what made her body happy and no one took the time to teach her, and sometimes when she found arms that were tender, she died because they belonged to the same gender.

She died from sacrificing herself for everybody and everything when what she really wanted to do was be a singer, a dancer, or some magnificent other.

She died from lies of omission because she didn't want to bring the black man down, she died from race memories of being snatched and raped, snatched and sold and snatched and bred, snatched and whipped and snatched and worked to death.

She died from tributes from her counterparts who should have been matching her efforts instead of showering her with dead words and empty songs, she died from myths that would not allow her to show weakness without being chastised by the lazy and the hazy.

She died from hiding her real feelings until they became hard and bitter enough to invade her womb and breast like angry tumors. She died from always lifting something from heavy boxes to refrigerators.

The strong black woman is dead.

She died from the punishments received from being honest about life, racism and men. She died from being called a bit-h for being verbal, a dyke for being assertive and a ***** for picking her own lovers. She died from never being enough of what men wanted, or being too much for the men she wanted.

She died from being too black and died again for not being black enough. She died from castration every time somebody thought of her as only a woman, or less than a man.

She died from being mis-informed about her mind, her body and the extent of her royal capabilities.

She died from knees pressed to close together because respect was never part of the foreplay that was being shoved at her.

She died from loneliness in birthing rooms and loneliness in abortion centers, she died of shock in courtrooms where she sat, alone, watching her children being legally lynched.

She died in bathrooms with her veins busting open with self-hatred and neglect. She died in her mind, fighting life, racism, and men while her body was carted away and stashed in a human warehouse for the spiritually mutilated, and sometimes when she refused to die, when she just refused to give in, she was killed by the lethal images of blonde hair, blue eyes and flat butts, rejected by the O.J.'s, the Quincy's and the Poitiers.

Sometimes, she was stomped to death by racism and sexism, executed by hi-tech ignorance while she carried the family in her belly, the community on her head, and the race on her back!

The strong silent, talking black woman is dead!!!!!!!!! Or is she still alive and kicking???????????? I know I'm still here.

I will be adding the names of DV victims to the end of this post and in the comments section to venerate them. I encourage you to do the same.

Self-Determination is a RIGHT...Let folks have it!

Hey my peoples! Today is Monday and I'm feeling a little...MEH. As luck would have it, I received a wonderful telephone call from a good friend of mine who is finishing up a research fellowship that's also a part of her dissertation (She's always been great at killing two birds with one stone). Today we talked about our mutual experiences in working with the less fortunate and how our ideologies, as they relate to race, class, and poverty have changed. She is a kick ass clinical social worker who is graduating this May with a Ph.D in Clinical Psychology. I am social worker functionally, but I lack the academic training to possess authentic credentials. Suffice it to say, we have markedly different approaches when it comes to working with clients, but we hold some of the same fundamental beliefs. Chief among those beliefs is that clients have a right to self-determination; that is, they should be allowed to make decision for themselves even if those decisions are to their detriment.

It's quite difficult to watch someone you've been working with for years regress back to the original state in which you first encountered them. Frankly, it's the pits. I am so tired of working my ass off to get people to a certain point in their lives only to be disappointed by them. This level of direct service is the most unrewarding, unkind, and thankless kind of work. I rarely ever have clients who continue to grow after we mutually agree to limit our contact with each other. Instead, I find myself going into crackhouses, heroin alleys, or the sex worker strolls to physically pull them up and out, to get them back into treatment or stable housing. When I do have a client who bucks the trend, they seldom live long enough to enjoy the accoutrements of their newly found independence from drugs and the poverty mindset (which is markedly different from poverty). See, my goal for most of my clients is to show them a different way to compensate for many of the things they see as shortcomings in their lives. We accomplish this by meeting clients where they are and by creating treatment plans that emphasize a client's strengths. We then create S.M.A.R.T. objectives or incremental action steps to achieve the goals of the treatment plan. Sometimes the plans work for a spell; most of the time, they don't.

I'm ambivalent, because many times I find myself judging them. I chide them for being lazy and complacent or for using illness and addiction to abrogate them from personal responsibility. I find myself being the polemicist, wanting to arrest the disciplines of abnormal psychology and psychiatry for providing people with a cadre of disorders to again, escape responsibility. Conversely, I find myself trying to be the understanding social worker, attempting to explain away bad choices as personality disorders or the direct result of drug addictions. What I'm learning now though, is that people definitely have the right to self determination. I should not expect less of them than they expect of themselves. I am learning that it's okay to be a help as long as I don't become an enabler. Most importantly, I am learning not to be married to people's outcomes; it's their life to make. I can only provide good advice (based on what information I have) and have a reasonable expectation that at some point people will have enough self-determination to expect more of themselves---and work toward achieving all that life has for them.

What the F#$%---?

Okay, Okay... I've been gone for a minute, but now I'm back in the jump off... and I'm P-I-S-S-E-D! The highlight of my weekend was having dinner and drinks with two remarkable women with whom I will become long term friends... I know it. It was great to sit down and actually have an intellectual conversation punctuated by intense debate, wonderful humor, and just good clean FUN. We had decided to visit a black-owned Martini bar in DC and it was awesome!!! Now onto the not so good news...

T h e E s s e n c e o f B e i n g P i s s e d!

This morning I read two stories with great interest: ESSENCE magazine's story on Dunbar Village (ironically not accessible on its website, although SEVERAL articles about the Jena 6 and Genarlow Wilson are... A MESS!!!) and an article in the AJC today, discussing a meeting of self-appointed, black "leaders" regarding yet, another useless march on Washington, DC. Yes, these stories were completely riveting. I will try to scan the Essence story and upload its url as a .pdf.

So, let me give Essence kudos on being the first, major, national publication to take on the discussion of how America, both black and white devalues black womanhood. I found Francie Latour's report to be a thoughtful and insightful look at how we automatically deem black perpetrators as victims when they commit crimes...especially against black women. Where the hell was Essence magazine 4 or 5 months ago? Why did it take so long? Some of you who read this will respond that Essence is a lifestyle magazine for black women; therefore Essence has no obligation to report on topics like these. My response is that Essence, when it decided to publish stories related to the aforementioned causes, Essence obligated itself to publish the gruesome stories of Megan Williams and the Dunbar Village Rape Victim (for more info on Dunbar Village, please visit here).

Just the mere fact that these were two black women, who had been maliciously and brutally raped and tortured, should have made them relevant enough to be covered by Essence magazine--the voice of black women. Parity is certainly not one of Essence magazine's strengths. When I searched their website, I found 4 stories dedicated to the Jena 6, 3 to Genarlow Wilson, and 1 shared story related to the inherent dysfunction of our juvenile justice system. Now, after several bloggers have made it their mission to keep these stories in the front of our minds (although they don't have the benefit mainstream media coverage), Essence magazine has found it necessary to publish a story? Should we be celebrating because a magazine that touts its chief demographic are black women decided to do a story about black women? Groundbreaking concept; I bet that Peabody award is just itching to go to Essence. I could concoct a conspiracy theory that since Essence magazine, while being owned by Time-Warner is the BET of print media and doesn't really give a damn about black people, but that would be reaching...even for me. Enough with my soapboxing. The story is actually quite good and should be read.

Let's have another MARCH!!!

Wanna do something to feel relevant? Let's have another MARCH!!! You know how effective public gatherings can be, especially given the current political climate. Marches during the late 90's to the present have been the single, most successful tool to influence public perception and public policy since they were done during the Civil Rights Era. Federal Agencies have been rocked from their very foundations and laws have been changed by passive-aggressive. showbiz activism. NOT! So in today's AJC (although the article was published yesterday on the web), the usual suspects (or useless suspects) have announced plans to gather in Washington, DC to request Federal intervention to curb the increase in hate crimes. They will talk about noose hangings and how unfair the criminal justice system is to well, criminals. This is a worthwhile (worthless cause) and needs to be supported by black people and the white liberals who like to save us alike! Come one, come all to the march of Millennium!

Read the AJC story and then write me to curse me out for not thinking the way that you do. In the meantime, I'll be firing off a letter to Susan Taylor.
